cereal's pretty much safe...

SLU make's me happy!

So does being an RA...though I'm slightly scared...

The theme of my floor is "Four Walsh is SWEET!!" so there's candy and sweets (like ice cream) everywhere.  It's pretty much exciting!!

I miss you all!  How's life?  Leave comments...let me hear about you!

When the cafeteria food sucks, remember that cereal's pretty much a safe option.

Go Band Campers!!  (including my sis!)

Can I Get a "Woot Woot?!"

In the words of the lovely Miss Rachel Young, I should "think about updating!"  So...I guess I kind of agree!!!

How IS everyone?  Good, good I hope!  This summer has been so busy - woah!  I do want to interrupt this lovely post to let everyone know that I, Brittany Somers, ate at Buffalo Wild Wings for the first time tonight, and they have delightful potato wedges!

OK...well...I saw Allyson Hirschi for the first time Friday night.  I was at Latta Java listening to Kale Uzzle play lovely guitar, Kyle Karcher play mandolin/guitar (I think they call it mantar), and this super cool guy named Lee  melt my heart on the gymbae (oh, WOW, I really don't know if I spelled that right...).  Anyway, someone tapped me on the shoulder and said, "Can I sit by you?"  IT WAS ALLYSON!  And do you know what I did?  I cried.  Yep.  A lot.  Big tears - 'cause I hadn't seen her since January.

That's a long time to be without someone.  I guess sometimes we go a while without being near God.  And...I think that when we finally do tap Him on the shoulder, He cries at the very sight of us!  He can't wait for that moment when we return.  Cool, right?

I love climbing on castles with my girls at Ladies Night Out.  I adore those SWEET potato wedges at Buffalo Wild Wings.  I enjoy friendship, laughter, and forgiveness.  And...I love when lost sheep come back to their shepard.

Love you guys.

Oh Say Can YOU See?

Happy Almost-Independence-Day Everyone!

Ya know, being in a history class as intriguing as Mr. Carroll's 9:25 am history class will definitely put these sorts of things in perspective.  I'm loving history - well, it's interesting.  Like...how did Thanksgiving become such a grand holiday?  It was started by the Puritans who came over from England - and they were really mean to people, including the Indians!!  Haha...anyway...let me stop being nerdy  now...

Forgiveness is a beautiful thing.  It really is.  I don't think I ever understood it before, but I think that I do now.  Weird.  Forgiveness is like erasing the other person's chalk board.  Or, it's supposed to be like that.  But that's how it is with us and God.  Yeah, I've learned that forgiveness is beautiful when it's in it's purest form.

I got 5 bonus points for wearing red, white, and blue today in Chemistry class.    Betcha can't beat THAT story!    Well...

I hope everyone enjoys their Independence Day!

Britt

"I am free...to dance..."

Thursday, June 22, 2006

Just when I thought the skies were dry, God rained down more blessings.

Everyone should come listen to Kale Uzzle play/sing/and maybe dance if you're lucky Saturday night at Latta Java (where some consider to be the greatest place on earth...Disney World comes in a close second) at 7:00!  And...to make the experience unforgettable, get a vanilla frosted java.  Mmmmm!

I'm beginning to learn how to make flower arrangments.  Exciting, huh?

Ok...guess I'm done.  That's all folks!
